Long-term physical, chemical, and biological monitoring data from Adirondack Park lakes in northern New York. The package retrieves and caches a curated data archive on first use; the raw data are not bundled with the package itself.

New program column distinguishes AEAP integrated samples from ALTM surface grabs — values are not directly comparable across programs. The package presents data for the 28 lakes described in Leach et al. 2018 (Scientific Data, doi:10.1038/sdata.2018.59). The underlying figshare archive also contains chemistry and nutrient records for 25 ALTM-only lakes; those rows are filtered out by adk_data() but are available directly from the archive at doi:10.6084/m9.figshare.32305479 if you need them.
